Testing and Troubleshooting
Here are some tips if things aren’t working as planned:
- Your server doesn’t start. Check your server logs. It’s possible that Baguette AMF couldn’t find the license file, or that license has expired.
- Your client doesn’t understand your server(NetConnection.BadVersion for Flash, or Channel Disconnected for Flex). The Amfphp troubleshooting section should help. Especially try using a packet sniffer.
- You’re using Baguette AMF with Amfphp. The service works fine, only you don’t notice any speed difference. It’s possible that your server doesn’t load the PHP extension, or that it’s not being used. Run the ‘install.php’ script to find out. If it’s not loaded, check your php.ini file and have a look at your server error logs. If it says that PHP API versions are incompatible or something along those lines it means you used the wrong file for your system. If it’s loaded, then maybe the plugin is not installed properly with Amfphp. See the section on testing the plugin for instructions on how to resolve this.
